Arthur Wallace was a caring and kind man, who devoted his life to helping others in need. He helped countless individuals during their times of crisis, guiding them and providing shelter and financial assistance. He asked nothing in return. He made the world a better place for many. He was a proud and professional person, a selfless individual and a real class act. I am proud to say that he was a friend of mine. I will miss him.

Mr Wallace was a loving and patient man who made himself available to assist some of the more challenging students in the school. He was an excellent model of what students can achieve when they are supported and encouraged by caring adults. At a time of life when young people had a hard time interacting with older adults he made meaningful connections with students and made it look effortless. This kind man made a difference in my life and in many, many others. He was my teacher 40 years ago and I will always be grateful for the model he demonstrated as a person. My sympathies go out to his family and friends. Tom Brandon Dedham Mass
