Elaine Mensah Obituary
Elaine Marie Mensah (Peterson) 49, of Millville departed this life suddenly on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005 in South Jersey Healthcare-Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
Born in Vineland, she was the daughter of Mary Catherine Williams and the late Herbert Hoover Peterson. She was a resident of Millville for many years. Elaine worked as a nursing assistant for the N.J. Veterans Memorial Home as well as Newcomb Medical Center and the Bishop McCarthy Nursing Home.
Elaine was an avid bargain hunter whose love for shopping was only surpassed by a love for baking and arts and crafts. Kindhearted and generous Elaine enriched the lives of all who knew and loved her, and will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children Charlene Peterson and Abekah Mensah, both of Millville, four sisters Arlene Henry of Vineland, Brenda Peterson, Peggy Williams both of Unionville, Va., Joanne Williams of Madison, Va. Two brothers Kenny Williams of York, Pa., and Joe Williams of Unionville, Va. as well as four grandchildren Shainazia Peterson, Imani Peterson, Jaida Peterson, Naiza Goolaby to whom she was devoted, and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held Friday, August 19, 2005 at noon at the Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church, Plum St. Vineland where friends may view 2 hours prior to services. AT THE FAMILIES REQUEST THERE WILL BE NO FINAL VIEWING! Interment will be held at the Fordville Cemetery, Fairfield Twp immediately following services. Services are entrusted to EDWARDS & SON FUNERAL HOMES, Inc.
