Mike was a valued and respected member of our Champlain College community for many years. We "old timers" remember him well. He always had a kind word and a cheerful hello to all of us as he made his daily rounds with the mail. We were all so pleased when he was awarded the Elizabeth Durick Staff Service Award in 2003 in recognition of his exemplary service and positive impact on the College community. We missed him when he retired. May he now rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends. - Joe O’Grady (on behalf of the faculty in the Stiller School of Business)

Michael and Katie were our neighbors in Jericho. We spent many events, holidays, and sports outings with their family. Mike love to be around his friends and neighbors and start a chat about anything. His excitement was contagious. There were times we would get together and strategize how to keep the boys out of mischief. Kathie, Ben, Justin, and Allison we send our love you to all and your family.

I worked at Champlain for a number of years while Mike was there. He always kind, thoughtful and helpful to everyone on campus. The world would be a more pleasant place if everyone could adopt the qualities that Mike exhibited each and every day. My condolences to his family and friends; he was a genuine and good person and I'm sure you will miss him dearly.

Mike and I were co-workers many years ago at Mitel. Also the Charron's were our next-door neighbors
for many years on Sunnyview. Mike, Kathie, Ben, Justin and Allie were always very friendly and never
hesitated if we needed help with anything. Mike helped me when I replaced my roof about 20 years
ago. He and I had many talks about ranging from politics to sports. He was a GOOD GUY ! My
condolences to the family. Mike will be missed and remembered.

We have so many fond memories of the time spent with the Charon family, raising our children together, our children being friends, witnessing the surprise and joy of Alison, working with Kathie at the hospital. Mike was one of the sweetest, kindest, most gentle souls I have known. I witnessed his sensitivity and caring often, yes Michael even cried. Michael adored his family, his beloved Kathie. Our profound sympathy goes out to you Kathie and to all your family, words simply aren’t enough to convey my sadness. I wish I could hug you. Please know you are in my thoughts and let me know if there is any way I can help. To me Cooper looks just like Mike❤ Bless all of you. Peace to you my friends. Anne and Tom Obbagy
