Gladys E. Miles
Gladys E. Miles, 89, of Butler died Thursday at 9:45 p.m. in the Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville.
Born Sept. 12, 1921 in Scott Township, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Milton W. McCracken and Pearl Kildoo McCracken.
Mrs. Miles was a homemaker, and she retired from the Butler School District in the Food Service Department.
She was a member of the Tops Chapter 1105.
Mrs. Miles is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Bronchak of Butler; five grandchildren, Stephen Miles of Butler, Kevin Bronchak of Naples, Fla., Kelly Jewart of Chicora, Keith Choff of Chicora, and Joe Bronchak of Butler; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Jewart, Darien Jewart and Alex Thiel-Choff, all of Chicora; one sister, Mrs. Ethel McClymonds of New Castle; and one brother, Raymond McCarcken and his wife, Mary, of New Castle.
Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Miles, who passed away on Jan. 25, 1979; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Choff; one son, James C. Miles; one sister, Mildred Raabe; and one brother.
MILES - Friends of Gladys E. Miles, who died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dave Brown of North Main Street Church of God officiating. Burial will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Headquarters, 3300 E. Sunrise Dr., Tucson, AZ 85718.
