Alexander Langlois

LANGLOIS , Alexander (Al) 1928 - 2009 Alexander William Langlois passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the age of 81. A resident of Canmore since 1992 and originally from Montreal, Al was predeceased by his first wife, Winnie, in 1990 and his second wife, Hilda, in 2006 as well as a son, Paul, in 1962. Al is survived by five sons, Tom (Susan) of Calgary, Bob (Wendy) of Ottawa, Michael (Carolyn) of Canmore, Norman (Chantal) of Revelstoke, and Raymond (Glynis) of Canmore; three step daughters, Modena Spears of Lethbridge, Melinda Spears (Fred) of Edmonton, Melanie Law (Todd) of Red Deer; as well as seventeen grandchildren. A devoted husband, father and friend, Al was an avid outdoorsman and athlete enjoying many pursuits including cycling and golf with a lifelong passion for skiing. Al was a true dog lover and many will remember him from his daily walks with Murphy. Al's life was enriched by his career as a salesman and his relationship to the Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life for Al Langlois will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rockies Parish (corner of 7 Avenue and 7 Street), Canmore. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery, Calgary at 3:30 p.m. - please meet at the main gates.
