Published by Legacy Remembers on May 7, 2011.
KLIMOV, Freda May 11, 1930 - May 5, 2011 Freda Klimov passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Freda was a long-time resident of High River and was well-known in her community for her caring generosity, kindness, volunteerism, green thumb, bowling skills and her love of Thai Chi. Freda always had time and a kind word for anyone and gave graciously. She was also a shining example of the true meaning of deep love. Her insight, understanding and non-judgmental support will live on through the lives of her extended family who she influenced in so many deep ways. Her kindness and warmth flowed through everyone she touched. Not one to be fooled, Freda also had a sharp wit and awesome sense of humor that was never lost on her family and she had a wonderful way of keeping balance and happy harmony in her family. It was these things that allowed her to journey through life with such strength and satisfaction. Freda will always be remembered for the deep love she gave and the family she generated and as a person who seemed to have the least to offer but always gave the most. Freda is survived by a close loving family including her son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Moira Klimove; her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Ian Harrill; her brother Mitch Klimove; her treasured nephew David Klimove; six beloved grandchildren including Jessie, Sandy, Jake, Cody, Jared and Sarah; one great-grandchild Daniel son of Jessie Klimove and Christine Agnew. Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel (North East Corner of Highway 22X and 37 Street S.W.) on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Beth Tzedec Memorial Park Cemetery. Many thanks to the very professional, capable and caring staff at the High River Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Finnegan, her favorite nurse Amanda and to the kind staff of the High River Medicine Tree Manor. Arrangements in care of the CHEVRA KADISHA OF CALGARY, North East Corner of Highway 22X and 37 Street S.W. Telephone: 403-244-4717.

Deepest condolances to the families of Sherry and Harold. Freda touched many lives with her constant smile and laughter. She was always welcoming to me and opened her home. Her art was amazing and she enjoyed her original creations as did so many who visited and saw them. Sherry, Ian, Jarrod and Sarah, as well as David, My thoughts and prayers are with you. There is no void felt like that of a parent... they are irreplaceable.

Harold and Moira and family,
Deepest sympathies to you. Your mom was a neighbour of ours for a long time, and always remembered us and our kids, especially as little ones. She was always positive and encouraging, a sweet lady.
