Lydia FEN Obituary
April 10, 1925 – Chikli, Zaporiziya, Ukraine
October 30, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta
Lydia, beloved wife of the Late Alex Fen of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Lydia enjoyed embroidery, cooking, baking, and spending quality time with her family. Lydia is survived by her daughter Elizabeth and her husband Marshall McRae; granddaughters Carrie (Kevin) Beaudry and Kelly (Ryan) Collins; grandsons Michael (Cari) Fen and Randy (Jennifer) McRae; great-grandchildren Jayden, Tyler, Kallie, Phoenix, and Caden. Lydia was predeceased by her loving husband Alex; her son George; and siblings Efim, Ivan, Mukola, Fedir, and Anatoli. A Celebration of Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of their choice. Dear Liz, Marshall, Randy, Jenn, Caden, Kelly and Ryan,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom, Grandmother, and great-grandmother. Baba was a kind and loving person who loved her family very much. Some of my fondest memories are eating meals out on their deck, Christmas Eve dinners, weekends at the cabin, and trips to Vancouver Island and the Oregon Coast. Baba will be at peace with Dig and George at her side. My heart goes out to all of you.
