HAYNEN _ Mary Elizabeth October 11, 1911 - July 16, 2007 Mary Elizabeth Haynen (Mom and Granny) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2007 with her daughter, Judy, by her side. Mary was lovingly called "Granny" by all who knew her. Her kindness, strong faith and zest for life endeared her to everyone. She was a devoted Mom and Granny and loved unconditionally. Mary will be lovingly missed by her son, Bert; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Stawnychko; grandchildren, Roy, Barb (Colin), Darren, Ryan, Mike, Erin (Trevor), and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Zach, Abby; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son, Donald, her husband Gilbert and two sisters, Phyllis and Verna. A Celebration of Mary's life will be held at Shepherd King Lutheran Church (804 - 75 Avenue S.W.) on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to her church, Shepherd King Lutheran Church, 804 - 75 Avenue S.W. Calgary, Alberta T2V 0S5 or to her favourite charity, the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI), 3412 Spruce Drive S.W., Calgary, Alberta T3C 3A4. The family would like to thank her many "special" friends for their kindness and devotion to Mary, and also the Staff at Extendicare Cedars Villa for their excellent care over the past two years. In living memory of Mary Haynen, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Park Memorial Chapel, 5008 ELBOW DRIVE S.W. Telephone: 403-243-8200.
