Peter Breemer

BREEMER _ Peter Stoffel June 2, 1930 - July 22, 2007 Peter Stoffel Breemer, beloved husband of Mieke (Maria) Breemer of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Born on June 2, 1930 in Rottum, Netherlands, Peter immigrated with his family to Canada in 1949. After marrying Mieke in 1954, the young couple first resided in Calgary and then moved to Northern Alberta to start farming. For many years, Peter farmed in Teepee Creek and Clairmont as well as worked as a book keeper for a variety of companies. After retiring in 1989 to Calgary, Peter enjoyed relaxing by listening to music and working in his yard. Besides his loving wife of fifty-three years Maria, Peter is lovingly remembered by his children, Rose (Phil) Taylor, John (Ruth) Breemer, Judy (David) Sobolewski, and Patricia Breemer; as well as his five grandchildren, Meghan, Kevin, Mark, Carl and Mieke; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his parents John and Hilda and his sisters Jenny, Yvonne and Florence. Funeral Services will be held at First Christian Reformed Church (3818 - 14A Street S.W.) on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
