Takis CHILAKOS Obituary

August 6, 2013 – Calgary, AB
Takis, beloved husband of the late Francisca Chilakos (nee Solomos) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Takis is survived by his children Peter (Caroline) and Irene (Lazaros); and grandchildren Matthew, Alexandra, Nicolas, John, Philip and Christopher. He was predeceased by his wife Francisca (Fifi) in 2011. Those wishing to pay their respects to Takis may do so on Thursday, August 8, 2013 between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent S.W.) on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service will be held at Ste. Dorothee Cemetery, Laval, PQ. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 - 325 Manning Road N.E., Calgary, AB T2E 2P5 (Telephone 403-205-3966, email [email protected]). Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Takis Chilakos, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
