Helen M. Heimann, age 90, died at Laurels of Massillon on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. She was born on Wednesday, May 22, 1918, in Canton, and is daughter to the late John O. and Sarah E. (Lower) Page. She retired in 1983 from Dalton Manufacturing where she was a seamstress for 20 years, and a volunteer at Massillon Community Hospital. Helen is a member of St Barbara Catholic Church, enjoyed bingo and was an avid bowler. She is survived by sons Edward A. (Judy) Heimann and John "Pete" Heimann, daughter Sherry Ann (Charles) Smith, brother John "Jack" Page all of Massillon, sister Virginia Brown of Dover, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband August "Gus" Heimann who died 1981, brothers, "Snook" Francis Page, Charles Page and Ross Page, sister Margaret Perry, granddaughter Bernadette Heimann, and daughter-in-law Carol Heimann. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel. There will be a prayer vigil at 8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Sat., Dec. 6, 2008 at 10 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Cebula celebrant. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Barbara's Food Pantry, 2813 Lincoln Way W., Massillon, Ohio 44647.
