Jeffrey Spaulding Obituary
64, of East Canton passed on to Heaven on Jan. 22. He was born in Canton, OH to Vivian (Douglas) and Virgil Spaulding and was a graduate of East Canton High School and Malone College. Jeff married his high school sweetheart Diana (Blanc). He was a loving father to Elizabeth Spaulding and Grace (Dan) McCormack and grandfather to Emerson McCormack. He was a lifelong teacher and coach, retiring from Osnaburg Local Schools. Jeff was an active member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and enjoyed cheering on Ohio sports teams, cooking, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Judith Spaulding. Jeff is survived by his wife of 41 years, daughters, son-in-law, and granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be held after the pandemic has subsided. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Tabor UMC in East Canton or the Joslin Diabetes Center.

Jeff was a gentle giant, always liked by his friends, teachers, and coaches. Much was expected from Jeff because of his size, but what he gave better than anything was his kindness and respect. I never had Jeff in the classroom but was privileged to coach him in football. He is missed.

I always enjoyed coaching with Jeff. Great insight into the game. The kicking contests at the end of practice were always fun for everybody.
