Ronald Moore Obituary

Ronald Paul "Scurvy Dog" Moore

71, of Wooster went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 07, 2021. He was born July 29, 1949 in Massillon to Thomas and Dorothy Heather Moore. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He bravely went to battle overseas during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he enjoyed serving in many capacities, including cooking meals for funerals. Ron also served as a Boyscout leader for many years. He worked hard as a mechanic and retired from MIRK Inc. where he was an expert painter. He enjoyed many pastimes. He was an avid camper and loved the weekends at the river with family and friends where he canoed, cooked huge meals on the fire and enjoyed the outdoors. Ron also enjoyed playing cards, watching football, golfing, sketching, and being with his family and friends. Ron liked to see people smile. He told stories and jokes and often caused some mischief. His sincerity and charisma will be forever missed.

He is survived by his daughter Heather (Dave) Watson of Dover; grandchildren Anthoni, Walker and Ellie Watson; sisters Karen (Frank) Rohrer-Brown and Kathy Cochran both of Canton; nieces and nephews Debora (Dennis) Jones, Jeff Shank, Donald (Cathy) Shank, Jennifer (Kenneth) Cutts, Katie (Bryan) Firment, Kelly (Adam) Dennis, Susie (Dennie) Miller and Chuck (Michelle) Moore. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Moore and a sister Beverly Shank.
