Francis M. "Frank" Gordon

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - Francis M. ''Frank” Gordon of St. Thomas, formerly of Holbrook, passed away on Sept. 26, 2007.

Mr. Gordon was the loving father of Ryan Gordon of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Gigi Gordon of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

He was the dear son of the late Francis M. and Anna C. (Doherty) Gordon; devoted brother of Carol Gordon of Sagamore Beach and Paul Gordon of Bridgewater; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Frank was an academic & athletic standout at B.C. High School, New Hampton Prep School and Columbia University.

Frank was a member of the B.C. High School Hall of Fame and was named to the New York Times All American Team for Columbia University.

Mr. Gordon also played for Orleans in the Cape Cod Baseball League, Rugby for the Beacon Hill Rugby Club & professionally in Europe.

Frank was raised in Holbrook, Mass., and is a former Town Administrator for the Town of Holbrook.

He was a resident of the United States Virgin Islands, where he owned and operated Frank Gordon Associates, a Real Estate and Investment firm.

Frank loved the arts, music, literature and sports.

Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 S. Franklin St. (Route 37), Holbrook, is assisting the family with these arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
