Joan Lalley Devore

CENTERVILLE - Joan Lalley Devore, 75, of Centerville, formerly of Fairfield, Conn., died on Sept. 21, 2007, at home with her family by her side.

Wife of Charles A. Devore of 51 years, mother of Michael Devore and his wife Eileen of Trumbull, Conn., Daniel Devore and his wife Amy of Westport, Conn., and Cathleen Devore of Barrington, Ill.; sister of Betty Nelson and her husband Ed of Fairfield, Conn.; grandmother of Brock and Chelsea Lachapelle, Patrick, James, and Kathleen Devore, also Sam and Lindsey Sagnella.

Joan was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and was a longtime resident of Fairfield, Conn., where she and Charles raised their family.

They enjoyed many years of summer fun at the Holiday Beach Club.

She has lived on Cape Cod for 11 years and was a beloved wife, mother, nana, and sister.

Visiting hours will be in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road (Route 28), Marstons Mills on Monday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 6 p.m.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 S. Main St., Centerville.

Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery.
