Marilyn Mims Obituary
She was the wife of the late James Roy Mims.
Born on Oct. 23, 1926, in Braintree, she was an active member and volunteer in the caregiving ministries of the Northside United Methodist Church in Brewster. She was also a founding member of the Granite State Independent Living Foundation in Concord, N.H.
She leaves two sons, Robert Mims of Taunton and John Mims of Bow, N.H.; two sisters, Pauline Boyd of Orleans and Anne Haskell of Hanson; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Close.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at the Northside United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Northside United Methodist Church Building Fund, 701 Airline Road, Brewster, MA 02631.
