Daniel Wood

Daniel William Wood, age 23, of New Windsor, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Route 31. Born August 17, 1994 in Carroll County, he was the son of James Wood and stepson of Marybell Wood of Westminster and son of Greta Small of Red Oak, NC. He was a great husband and the best friend of his wife, Kimberly Wood, whom he married on September 9, 2017. Daniel and Kimberly were the farm managers of Snader Farms, Inc. of New Windsor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his friends and helping people in the community. In addition to his wife, mother, father and stepmother, he is survived by paternal grandmother, Patricia Wood of Westminster; paternal step grandmother, Joanne Wood of New Windsor; maternal grandparents, Mary Jane Small of Hanover, PA and Bill Small of South Carolina; brother, J.R. Wood of Westminster; in-laws, Phil and Victoria Snader of New Windsor; stepsisters, Deanna, Heidi, Constance and Madeline and stepbrother, Dwight. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at Uniontown Bible Church, 4272 Watson Lane, Union Bridge, with John Mike Myers, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 4:30 p.m. until time of service. Private interment will be in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near New Windsor.
