Wichita, Kansas - Alva Janes Kite age 94 passed away on August 13, 2025 in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on September 11, 1930 to William Burton Kite and Effie Lenora (Spicer) Kite in Knoles, Oklahoma. He was a Welder by occupation for the aviation industry.
Alva was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Wesley Kite (7/25/1870-11/30/1903); his father, William Burton Kite (12/17/1892-6/18/1977) and his wife Naomi Earlene Kite (Nance) (8/25/1936-9/11/2018.
He is survived by his children, Richard Lynn Kite of Wichita, KS; Vickie Jean Beard of Wichita, KS; Ronald Eugene Kite of Wichita, KS; He has 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Grandpa Kite was someone who really impacted my life. Between breakfast and lunch dates, overnights with him and grandma, to just sitting on the couch yapping at them both or dancing in his backyard. He was someone I knew as safe and he always made me feel so loved for who I am. He will live on in the stories I tell my kids and anyone who asks about him. I´m really glad I was able to be his granddaughter. I love you.
