Bertha Stannard Morgan SUMMERVILLE - Bertha Stannard Morgan, 87, widow of Edward Thomas Morgan Jr., passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston, SC. Mrs. Morgan was born January 26, 1925 in New Haven, CT, a daughter of Willis and Gladys Stannard. A retired purchasing agent, Mrs. Morgan enjoyed volunteering at Summerville Medical Center and socializing with dear friends of both the Dorchester Senior Citizens Group and the "Elderberry's" at Saint Theresa The Little Flower Catholic Church, where she was a member. She is survived by two daughters: Mary Beth (Edward) Jordan and Pamela (Walter) Stevens-Maxner, both of Summerville; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son: Thomas Edward Morgan; a brother: Robert Francis Stannard; a grandson: Robert Francis Brown; and a great-granddaughter: Natasha S. Stevens. A celebration of Mrs. Morgan's life will be held at a later date through Sullivan's Funeral Home in Guilford, Connecticut for family and friends.
