I had the good fortune of being Hugh's classmate at WFU School of Law for the years 1958 through 1961. Our class was small so we knew each other on a more intimate basis than we might have at a larger law school. Hugh was always a gentleman and exemplified the best traits one would expect from one aspiring to become a lawyer. We have seen each other only a few times over these past years, but he will always occupy a special place among my law school memories.

Hugh was my next door neighbor for 25 years. His office and mine were next door. He was a lawyers' lawyer, honest, bright, dedicated...a true professional in every sense of the word.
