Montie Terry Morris
CHERAW -- Mrs. Morris, 95, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Chesterfield Convalescent Center in Cheraw.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, McFarlan, NC, with Rev. Larry King and Rev. Doug Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Montie was born December 26, 1914 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late Benjamin J. and Susan Sanford Terry. She was retired from B.C. Moore's with 23 years of service and was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, H.C. (Carolyn) Morris, Jr. and James 'Ted' (Margaret) Morris, both of Cheraw, SC; her daughter, Elva Morris Britt of Meridian, MS; her grandchildren, Robert Britt, Kelly Sikes, Andrew Morris and Joni Huff; her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Parker, Kieran, Jonathan, Wesley and Erica; her sister, Lena Mae Odom of Bennettsville, SC; and her niece and nephews, Brenda Cox, Harold Therrell and Max Terry.
Her husband, Howze C. Morris, her daughter, Evie Morris and her granddaughter, Susan Morris, all preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Mildred Lowery, 8998 Diggs Rd., Morven, NC 28119.
