John Zizzi Obituary
Mr. Zizzi, 89, of Charlotte passed away peacefully Sunday, August 1, 2010, after an extended battle with advanced Alzheimer's. John was born April 7, 1921 in Star City, WV, son of the late William and Rose Provenzola Zizzi.
In addition to his parents Mr. Zizzi was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Zizzi.
Survivors include his children John C. Zizzi, Jr. and wife Barbara Ann of Charlotte, NC, Mary Bowen and husband Ray of Bel Air, MD, Cathy MacDonell of Mocksville, NC, Annette Evans and husband Phil of Huntersville, NC, Bill Zizzi of Ashland, TN, Lisa Bain and husband Dave of Smithfield, RI and Sam Zizzi and wife Liz of Morgantown, WV; sisters, Teresa Angotti of Morgantown, WV, Ann Julian of Glendora, CA and Mary Brotherton of West Covina, CA; and seventeen grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Service for Mr. Zizzi will be held in Elkins, WV on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at St. Brendan Catholic Church.
Arrangements are in the care of Lohr & Barb Funeral Home, 120 1st St., Elkins, WV 26241 (304) 636 4440.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).

Dear Annette and Phil, I am truely sorry for your loss. I know words can never be enough. I lost my dad in Feb. 2008. There are no words that ican say. When i want to talk to him i go to the boardwalk. The last five years of his life we went bike riding in the morning. That is where i feel the closest to him. Keep his memory alive by talking about the good times to your children.
Please take time to grieve.
