Rita Diamond, nee Stein, age 100. Cherished mother of Sharon (Sol) Ponitch. Adored grandmother of Julie (Rick) Smith and Gregg Ponitch. Treasured great-grandmother of Emily and Jared Smith. Caring sister of the late Sheldon (Ilene) Stein. Fond aunt of Jeffrey Stein. She will be missed by her devoted caregivers Monina and Barbara. Graveside service Tuesday, 10 AM Shalom Memorial Park (Section VIII Nebo), 1700 W. Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the charity of your choice.
