Richard Mah Obituary

Professor Richard S.H. Mah, 69, of Glenview, died May 30, 2004, at home. He was a scholar, educator, son, husband, father and grandfather. He completed his Post Doctorate Fellow at the University of Minnesota. His last formal scholarly accomplishment was a DSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of London Imperial College of Science and Technology in 1993. From 1972 to 1995, Professor Mah dedicated his life to chemical engineering education and research as a professor at the Robert McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Northwestern University. He was a founding member of CAST Division of AIChE and Chairman of numerous associated committees and boards. In CACHE he served in many leadership roles as chairman of committees and ultimately as President of CACHE in 1986.
