James R. "Jim" Mullany, 67, of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Chicago passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007 at home. He was a retired 29 year veteran of the Chicago Fire Dept. Beloved son of the late Raymond and Mary, nee Boland, Mullany; loving husband of Arlene, nee Rezotko; cherished father of Steven (Debra) Mullany, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Heinrich, David (Jackie) Mullany and Nicole Mullany; proud grandfather of Jimmy, Samantha, Jeffrey, Rachel, Matthew, Sean, Erin, Riley and Olivia; dear brother of Mary Cay (Daniel) Moll; fond uncle; dear son-in-law of Joseph and the late Helene Rezotko; and dear brother-in-law of Linda and the late Kenneth Rezotko and Diana (James) Ryba. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Huntley/Dundee Rd., Huntley. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles at 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Monarch Hospice, 5435 Bull Valley Rd., Ste. 304, McHenry, IL 60050.
