My condolences to Bob's family. I remember his strong deep voice answering questions about Social Security on radio. He was so patient with my mother, helping her to understand her benefits when she was became ill. Bob was one of the more caring people I knew. He will be missed.

Bob was a classmate of my late husband Tom and his late brother Jim at St. Benedict high school. They remained life long friends. Bob visited Tom and Jim at their hospitals and nursing homes, and also drove their mom to visit them. He kept in contact with me until his recent illness. What a gentleman and fine person. Bob, thank you for your decades of kindness and your inspiring presence in our lives. -- Fran Walker Sternik

I worked with Bob at SSA during the late 70s. A kinder, more focuse mentor was Bob. Sorry I missed him over the last several years since both our retirements. God bless.

I knew Bob since 1973 when we met at the Social Security Adm. where he was a mentor. We maintained contact after we both retired and saw each other frequently for social activities until I moved to NM about four years ago. Bob had great wit, intelligence, and generosity of spirit. He was active in community organizations and supported his college. He was a good friend. My wife Sharon and I offer his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

Bob and I were hired by IDES on the same day and started at the same time. Our cubicles were next to each other and we have remained friends all this time. He was always so kind and what a gentle soul he had. I miss him. TM
