BERNARD BAJORAS Obituary

Bernard Robert Bajoras, 87, resident of Alden Estates of Naperville passed away on August 21,2010. He died of complications from a hip fracture . He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Oct. 4,1923. He served in the army during WWII as a military policeman stationed in the Azores islands. He married Ruth Ann Jouvet in Chicago. He retired from Automatic Electric, Northlake,IL after 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth who is also a resident of Alden Estates of Naperville; children Bernard E Bajoras (Pat) Mesa, AZ, Gwen (Yang) Taipei, Taiwan, Genelle V. Cadenas (Julio Cadenas, MD) Houston,TX, Mary Gulczynski (Naperville, IL), grandchildren Sergio Cadenas, Vanessa Cadenas, Jake Gulczynski, Jessica Gulczynski, Landon Wang, Bernard Bajoras (Marley) Anthony Bajoras (Jennifer), Laura Hanley, great-grandchildren Margaret, Daniel, Sean and Quinn Hanley, numerous nieces and nephews and brother John. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Antonina Bajoras, brothers Anthony, Stanley, Edward, Joseph; sisters Sr. Mariella C.S.F.N. Anastasia, Cecilia(Ruth) Ahern, Veronica Boswick and Helene Pace. Bernard was a rugged individual who will be remembered as a free spirit. His main enjoyment was to take long walks for miles regardless of the weather. Perhaps some of the family's best memories were on those walks with him. Funeral arrangements per the Neptune society. Family will have a private gathering in his memory. The family wishes to thank the caring nurses at Alden Estates of Naperville and the staff of the Family Hospice Services.
