Fosco, Gloria M. In loving memory of the late Mrs. Gloria M. Fosco (nee Nappi), age 90, who passed away earlier this month. Mrs. Fosco resided in Oak Park, Illinois, with her family for nearly 60 years, owning 3 different homes in Oak Park. She truly loved Oak Park very much. Her first home was located on the 500 block of South Scoville Avenue; second home was located on the 1100 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue; her final home was located on the 1200 block of North Oak Park Avenue. Her lifelong career was spent as a homemaker. Mrs. Fosco grew up in Chicago on Polk Street, living in an apartment located above her father's barber shop. She was the youngest child of the late Felix and Assunta (nee Iorii) Nappi; beloved wife of the late Armando, Sr.; loving mother of Armando Jr. (Sharon) and Ralph; adored stepmother of Joseph and Paul (Tina) Fosco; cherished grandmother of the late Armando III; and respected step-grandmother of Allison and Julia Fosco; dearest sister of the late Ralph Nappi, late Christine (late Roland) Ignoffo, late Edith (late Ernie) Greco, late Romie (late Maryon) Nappi, late Rico (late Frances) Nappi and late Dolly (late Mario) Christopher; dear aunt and great-aunt to many; especially to nieces, Kathy and Renee; loved former mother-in-law of Maria. Among Mrs. Fosco's many charitable contributions over the years, she and her son, Ralph donated a tree to Scoville Park several years ago, which flourishes today. A plaque located nearby explains that it was dedicated in memory of her late grandson "Mondie." Mrs. Fosco used to enjoy bringing her grandson to play in Scoville Park when he was a little boy. Private visitation and funeral services were held for Mrs. Fosco on January 8, 2015. Entombment Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
