Robert Marc Schneider, 53, attorney, graduate of John Marshall Law School, activist, patron of the arts, epicure, proud native of Brooklyn, NY and family historian, passed away suddenly but peacefully in his sleep at home August 6, 2007. Cherished son of the late Chester and Lillian Schneider; beloved brother of Sandra and Arthur Diamond of Newington, CT; very proud and loving uncle of Lisa Kim Diamond and Seth Micah Diamond; great-uncle of Samuel Phoenix Diamond and Mason Isaiah Diamond; dearest friend of Jeff Margulis, and Rex and Jacqueline Kidder; faithful companion of Esmeralda the Cat. Gathering of family and friends, Saturday August 11, 12 to 3 p.m. (service at 12:30 p.m.), at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., Chicago, IL 60613 (ridesharing or public transportation is encouraged due to limited neighborhood parking).
