Elizabeth Gaal Memoriam

Elizabeth Gaal was a 79-year-old woman with a green thumb and a warm heart. She tended to the people around her with the same loving care she used on her beloved vegetable garden.

On behalf of my Father, Dr. Fabo Laszlo (pre-deceased), I am sending family prayers. Now Erszebet is with her Hungarian family (and my Dad) in Heaven.

I am uncertain how their friendship began, but I was recruited on a few occasions to make the long drive with Dad, from San Francisco, as he was a non-driver his entire life.

I vaguely remember her kindness, her beautiful garden she was oh so proud of, and her wonderful cooking. My dad and Erszebet had long conversations, never a loss for words from either of them.

Elizabeth was a delight. Her heart was so kind and she made friends very easy. I met her through a job I was working. We soon became friends. I always enjoyed spending time visiting and learning about her life and experiences. Helping her move into her new place was a pleasure knowing she would finally be at a place she could call home again. I am so very sad to know she became a victim of the fire. With every memory of Elizabeth I know how blessed I was to be considered her friend.
