Joan Tracy Memoriam

Joan Carol Tracy will be remembered for her social spirit and love of country western dancing. Before she was diagnosed with dementia in 2004, the Paradise resident of 41 years could be found mastering the two-step at the Optimo and other local clubs with her best friend, Carol Souza.

I met Joan through my cousin Emmy on night out having some drinks. She always had the brightest smile in the room. She was always so sweet and kind and I will miss her very much! REST IN PEACE! And THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP!!!

I loved doing Joans hair and dancing the night away with her at the local pubs..she was such a sweet lady with always a kind smile. I will alway miss her- as she was part of my life for many years.

I didn't know Joan, but my heart goes out to her family. My mother lost everything in the #campfire, and I wanted to do something for those no longer with us. I wrote this name poem especially for Joan:

J: Is for Jolly, you loved dancing & the 2-step was your best,

O: Is for Outgoing, your spirit is greater than the rest.

A: Is for Academics, your studies were at Hawthorne,

N: Is for Native, in Long Beach you were born.

For someone I never knew - Rest in Peace, Joan!
