MARY SCHREIBER Mary Elizabeth Schreiber, a resident of Orland, CA, was born in Hayward, CA, on December 14, 1947, to Wilbur "Bucky" Bowen and Vera Bowen. Mary passed away on December 17, 2018, surr-ounded by her family in her home after bravely fighting cancer for eleven months. She graduated from Castro Valley High School in 1966 and there-after, worked for Pacific Bell and AT&T for many years before obtaining her realtor's license and later broker's license. She met her husband, Dan, in Castro Valley and they were married in July 1978. Her family moved from the Bay Area to Chico in 1987 where she became very active in real estate and the community. In 2011, Mary and her husband moved to Orland where she continued in real estate and community service until her death. Mary loved NASCAR racing, sprint car racing, RVing, classic country music, sewing and life in general. Most of all, Mary was a devoted wife and mother who fiercely loved her family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband, Dan, sons Clark and Jeffrey, step-daughter Lisa, father Wilbur and his wife Gena, brothers Denny and his wife Margie, Mike and his wife Stella, her sister Cindy, many nieces and nephews and cousins, and her beloved dog Molly ("Mollyvelcro"). She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Kathy. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of life for this amazing woman will be held at the Masonic Family Center, 25020 Tehama Vina Road, Los Molinos, CA, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 1:00 PM.
