If this is the Richard Brown that grew up around Brookings, Oregon in the 1960's, then I knew Richard. He was a year older than I am but we had some similar interests. If I remember right, Richard quit school and went to work running a scraper when they added on to the high school in 1963 or 64. He was always a straight shooter and fun to be around. I saw him at a class reunion or something of that nature 2 or 3 lustrums ago. He said he was living in the Paradise area. I told him I had taken the stocking order for the Les Schwab Tire store in Paradise back in the mid-90's. I told him I thought it was a beautiful town but I didn't like the look of the access up Skyway from Chico. Having a fire cut the Skyway Highway was what caught my attention. Little did I know how my thoughts would play out.................Anyway, best to all of Richards relation and friends. So sorry this happened.

My apologies for repeating the same message in my postings, but I'm posting in all the victim profiles.
My mom lived in Magalia and lost everything in the #campfire. Wonderful stories like these remind me of how lucky we are. I wrote this name poem especially for Richard:
R: Is for Remembered, by a daughter you never let down,
I: Is for Impressive, you're known as a Mayor in your town.
C: Is for Concow, it's where you called home,
H: Is for Harley, your favorite way to roam.
A: Is for Angel, soaring high like a dove,
R: Is for Reflective, Chardonnay is a reflection of your love,
D: Is for Determined, to always rise above.
For someone I never knew - Rest in Peace Richard!

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I can see that Richard took to heart 1 Timothy 6:18 which states Tell them to work at good, to be rich in fine works, to be generous, ready to share.
