If this is the Richard Brown that grew up around Brookings, Oregon in the 1960's, then I knew Richard. He was a year older than I am but we had some similar interests. If I remember right, Richard quit school and went to work running a scraper when they added on to the high school in 1963 or 64. He was always a straight shooter and fun to be around. I saw him at a class reunion or something of that nature 2 or 3 lustrums ago. He said he was living in the Paradise area. I told him I had taken...

My mom lived in Magalia and lost everything in the #campfire. Wonderful stories like these remind me of how lucky we are. I wrote this name poem especially for Richard:

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I can see that Richard took to heart 1 Timothy 6:18 which states Tell them to work at good, to be rich in fine works, to be generous, ready to share.
