When she traveled with me and my folks to visit my paternal grandmother in Mount Vernon, Iowa one summer we would put on our clip on roller skates and roll around the block. Her birth date was 18 days before mine making her the sister I never had.

Every year on the anniversary of the passing of my mom, I pause, sad for a few moments, then think of a fond memory of her. Losing her is something that I will never get over, but I know that since she suffered from Alzheimer's for many years, she is in a much better place. I hope you are sharing this day with fond memories of your wife/mom/grandmother...

Tim, Kate, and Allison - I was so sorry to hear about Miriam. I really loved working with her when we were both young moms doing Christian education work at HPCUMC. She was always a calm presence.

Tim, Kate, Allison
So sorry about your loss of Miriam.
Tim, your unyielding love of her illustrated by your care given and personal sacrifices over the last years will forever be remembered by me as a human reminder of the vow “in sickness and in health”. You are a true champion in my eyes.
