RENTSCHLER

Ann de Sales Taylor, 82, beloved wife of the late James Peter Rentschler, on Monday, September 26, 2011. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio. She was married in 1950 and moved to Cincinnati in 1956. She attended the Columbus School for Girls in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Fairmont Casements in Ormond Beach, Florida in 1949. She was an active volunteer during her lifetime. She volunteered at the Cincinnati Natural History Museum, The Cincinnati Zoo, St. Aloysius Orphanage, and many Cincinnati hospitals. She became a member of the Junior League of Cincinnati in 1960 where she took part in fashion shows, plays and many decorating committees. She was also on the Women's Committee of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, a member of The Town Club of Cincinnati, Hamilton Women's Club, a sponsor of the American Music Scholarship Association, and a member of the Wine and Food Society with her husband, Jim. In May, 1960 she helped administer the first type of Sabin Vaccine through the City of Cincinnati Board of Health. She also was an artist of many beautiful paintings. She was very active in Palm Beach, Florida where James P. Rentschler and Associates, Inc. opened a location on Worth Avenue in 1967. Their beautiful homes were often featured on house and garden tours, in magazines and newspapers. She also enjoyed weekends at Renview, the family retreat in Hanover, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late William A. and the late Lillian F. Taylor of Hamilton. She was the cherished mother of Susan R. Okin (Dennis), Ann R. Kuhlman (John), James B. Rentschler (Connie), and Jeffrey M. Rentschler. She was a devoted grandmother to her nine grandchildren, Peter A. Okin (Amy), Elizabeth Okin Lorenz (Nicholas), Christine, John, Christopher, and Cody Kuhlman, Sarah, Stephanie, and Alexandra Rentschler. She is also survived by her cousin, Elana Rhodes Byrd, longtime family friend, Robert H. McWilliams, and nieces and nephews. She adored animals of all kinds and will be greatly missed by Maddie, Libby, Rodney and Toonces. Susan, Jamie, Jeffery, Ann, You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. I grew up on Clinton Ave and our families were close friends. I will always remember the Taylors. My brother Jack was Ann's age. My sister Mary was in your parent's wedding. My sister Florence and I are twins. Ann gave me speech lessons when I was a pre-teen. My parents were Loretta and Joe Fischer. I loved visiting Mrs. Taylor and watching Mr. Taylor walking the dog in the snow. Lots of good memories. Fondest regards, Joan Rosebrook
