Harley Buckner Obituary

HARLEY MITCHELL BUCKNER

ALEXANDER - Harley Mitchell Buckner, 77, of Alexander, went home to the Lord Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Pisgah Manor. A native of Buncombe Co., he was the son of the late Harley Gaston and May Matilda Davall Buckner. He is survived by his loving spouse of 37 years, Aileen Buckner; daughter, Sherri Lewis (Paul) of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Sally King of Chesapeake, Va. and Joy Bright (Tommy) of Alexander. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday January, 29, at the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal of which he was a member. Father Alexander Hanks and Rev. Charles Phillips will be officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parrish Hall. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Church of the Redeemer Episcopal.
