Charles Martin Obituary
Born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 28, 1944, he was the son of the late Abel and Tekla Martin.
He was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Twp. schools and had been employed as a union pipefitter. He was a member of Local 524 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Ann Cummings Martin; and son, Paul Martin.
Surviving are his son, Charles (C.J.) Martin and his wife, Jennifer, Old Forge; grandchildren, Samantha Martin, Paul Martin and Kallie Martin; great-granddaughter, Hallie Goodlavage; sister, Florence Martin; brothers, Raymond, Edward and Michael Martin; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston, to be followed by a blessing service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston. To my best friend charley, I will miss u dearly , a man could not ask for anything more., when it came to being a pal.u never let me down ,always with me to lend a helping hand always there when I needed a ride , always there to offer good advice, I will miss our times together , here and abroad . I will never forget the laughs we had. I'll miss seeing u bop down my drive way, , always checking on me , to see what project I was involved in , with both hands out to lend a helping hand . U have helped so many, And asked nothing in return , I'm going to miss u charley Martian ! I'll see ya again My friend , I'll see u again!!!!!!

I really enjoyed Charlie's company when we played tennis together. We had a lot of good times on the court together. He had some great stories and he was a great guy. He will really be missed. I'm sure he is in Heaven playing tennis.
