I had Miss Tibbbs as my 5th grade teacher at Sumner Elementary school. Having just moved to Topeka she made my adjustment to a new school very easy. She worked at Allen's drive-in on the weekends and I remember going there just so I could see her. She attended my 11th birthday party and gave me the "Apple Tree" Hummel which I still have. She was a very special lady. May she Rest In Peace.
