Sarah Wayne Obituary

Sarah Lee Page Wayne, 93, of Campbellsville, died at 10:11 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, in Jackson, Tenn.
Daughter of the late William Andy Page and Mary Candice Rafferty Page, she was born March 21, 1921, in Taylor County.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was a former lunchroom employee at Campbellsville Elementary School and Taylor County Elementary School, former employee of Boston's Mini Home and Metzmeier Nursing Home, and for many years did wonderful caretaking in people's homes.
She married Walter Wayne on Oct. 31, 1939. He preceded her in death July 9, 1961.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Walt Hedges of Jackson; two former daughters-in-law, Alla Rae Janes and Marsha Wayne of Campbellsville; three granddaughters, Denean Hendren and her husband, Seth, of Medina, Tenn., Robin Brown and her husband, Steven of Alpharetta, Ga., and Wendy Sabo and husband, John, of Campbellsville; a grandson, Neil Wayne of Campbellsville; a step-granddaughter, Nikki Salyers and her husband, Logan, of Campbellsville; eight great-grandchildren, Megan Brown, Laura Brown, William Brown, Andy Sabo, Jack Sabo, MaKenzie Hendren, Michael Hendren and Will Hendren; three step-great-grandchildren, Chelcie Salyers, Hunter Salyers and Levi Salyers; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Merlin Wayne, on Aug. 5, 2012; four sisters, Jessie Benningfield, Emma Farmer, Margaret Tucker and Ada Aileen Page; and three brothers, Lafe Page, Frank Page and James Colvin.
Visitation is Sunday, June 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.
Funeral is Monday, June 23, at noon at the funeral home. The Revs. Ron Young and Paul Dicken will officiate.
Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church building fund or the charity of the donor's choice and they can be made at the funeral home.
