Bobbie, Earl and I were teammates at Hinds in "52/'54. I well remember you and Earl, Earl as the gentle giant of a teddy bear that could be tough as nails when required to be so. I had great admiration and respect for Earl and while we did not cross paths after Hinds I did keep up with his career.
Please accept my sincerest sympathy in the loss of a great man and know that I care and am concerned for you and your famly.
May God sustain you as you grieve and begin the healing process.
Most sincerely,
Bill Davis HJC '54

NayNay's "Uncle" Earl was one of the most big-hearted people I have ever met. His legacy of love and faith lives on in each of you. All you have to do is close your eyes and you can feel his hands on you giving comfort and guidance. I love you all.

Earl was a classmate of mine at Robert E. Lee High School. I will remember Earl as a friend, fellow athlete, and foremost a good person. I followed his professional career through out the years and enjoyed his unselfish contribution to professional football. He will be sorely missed by all that had the privledge to know him. Heaven has received a great person.
