Joe A. Whipps, Jr., 83, died May 8 at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will take place Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Collins Northside Chapel. The funeral is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Society Ridge Baptist Church, Pocahontas, MS with burial in the church cemetery. Collins Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
