CLINTON — Herbert Daniel Arioso passed away on Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Alverno Nursing Home. He was 74 years old. Mr. Arioso was born on January 5, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa. His parents were Herbert Arioso Sr. and Florence (Jacobsen) Arioso. Mr. Arioso married Juanita Hultquist on February 19, 1969, in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Sioux City schools. He is survived by four daughters: Susie Arioso, Shirley Arioso, Sherry Julian, Sandy (Kevin) Brown, all of Clinton; and six sons, Todd (Sherry) Tripp, Sioux City, Iowa; Matthew Tripp, Minneapolis, MN; and Paul Shultenover of Owatonna, MN; James (Margaret) Tripp, St. Paul, Minnesota; Daniel (Julie) Arioso; David (Jacci) Arioso, all of Clinton, Iowa; 37 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sharon (Richard) Wilcox, of Sioux City, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Arioso, Sioux City, Iowa, and Vincent (Norma) Arioso, of Marion, Iowa. Mr. Arioso served in the U.S. Army and was employed in maintenance at the Big Meadows Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home South and the funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Memorials can be made to the family. Death date: Nov. 14, 2008

My heart goes out for the
Arioso family. I had the pleasure of meeting HERBIE as i called him when he was at Eagle Point Nursing. he was a great guy. always had me laughing.

Condolences to the Arioso brothers. I knew Herb at North Junior High School where we were classmates. I've known Vince for many years and consider him a good friend. I also knew Dick for a brief period of time.
