Cross Justice Goodwin

Ft. Collins - Cross Justice Goodwin was born on December 28, 2001. He passed from this world on July 5, 2018. He was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend. He was as big as a giant and as kind as a teddy bear. He gave the best hugs. Cross was insanely quick-witted, wiser than his years, and had an amazing sense of humor. He was kind, gentle, sweet, and stubborn. He knew what he believed and he stood by his convictions. He enjoyed magic, baseball, and fishing. He had the biggest heart. He was a sweetheart. He was creative, inventive, and strong. He was a gift that we didn't get to keep nearly long enough and he will be forever loved by his family and friends.

Cross wanted to help people, which was why he found it important to register as an organ donor. In the end, he was able to donate his lungs, heart, kidneys, pancreas, and liver, which have the potential to save the lives of five other people. He also donated tissues that could positively affect the lives of up to 1000 additional people. Currently, more than 120,000 men, women, and children in the US alone are waiting for organ transplants. Every year, approximately 8,000 people die waiting for an organ transplant. In lieu of flowers, please honor Cross by letting your loved ones know you love them, making the most out of every moment you have, and knowing that you too are loved. There will be a candlelight tribute for Cross at 7:30 PM on August 5, 2018 by the pavilion on the west side of Fossil Creek Park, next to the water.
