Mr Dobbins will be greatly missed in this city. Everytime I saw him he always greeted me with a firm handshake and a smile. He was one of the few men in Memphis I admired and looked up to. I will miss seeing Mr Dobbins around town.

To my dear sister/friend Alandas and family, words cannot express what you and your family have meant to me over the years. Mr. Dobbins was General and a King among men, and I knew him as a father figure when I had none. His legacy will be revered and his spirit missed. May the creator continue to Bless your household and watch over you.
I love you always.

As we've been planning on visiting Memphis soon, it was most sad to hear of George passing and yet I can't help but feel joy knowing he is celebrating in a better place where I look forward to seeing him again. Alandas, your father was a great man with a vision for Memphis that I know lives on through you, my prayers and thoughts are with you and yours as you carry on.

Dear Alandas, It was a pleasure meeting you when I did, but yet more exciting & pleasurable is the legacy that Mr. Dobbins left that should go down in history. I have never personally met him, however his legacy will touch many lives to come just as it has my very own.

Alandas, I am deeply sadden to hear of the passing of your father and my mentor. George truly touched many lives during his time here on earth. Although I mourn his passing, I celebrate the opportunity to have met him and to have been a recipient of his leadership and guidance.
I know truly I would not be where I am had not George invested time and interest in me.
All the love and blessing God can muster for you and your family.

Our hearts go out to the Dobbins family especially during this epoch of berevement. The departure of George will definitely leave a vaccum that only God's spirit can re-fill. George was a fervent believer and promoter of justice and economic freedom for all Africans, especially Sierra Leoneans. He visited Sierra Leone over three times to ignite the spirit in Africans.
We will surely miss him physically but his spirit leaves on!!

Jean, Alandas, Gordon, Grandchildren, Sisters & Brothers. The most we can hope for in this life is a keyhole peek at the shining realities ahead. Yet a glimpse is enough. It is enough to calm my heart that whatever suffering and sorrows currently attack us are not worthy of comparison to that which waits over in Glory. Blessed are those that die in the Lord. Your cousins Mittie, Andrew, Velma, Peolia, Jimella, Lorenzo, McStella, Carolyn & their family.

Alandas, and Ashley, I send my deepest condolences in the loss of your father. George (Mr.Dobbins) was a wonderful man to work for. Even through the rough times he still tried to make it easy for me. I can only hope to and will make every effort to live a full a life as he did. He did sooooo much here on earth and was so much appreciated by all of us. I know for sure that he will have that same appreciation, love, and respect where he is now...with the good Lord. Your family is sincerely in my prayers.
