Merle Brown Obituary
Merle was born in Tilton Sept. 14, 1929, daughter of the late Mark and Violet (Smith) Puffinburger. She married Bernard R. Brown in 1947 and they lived in the Franklin and Sanbornton area for 27 years before moving to Venice, Fla. in 1974. Bernard passed away in 1995 and Merle remained in Florida.
Merle is survived by her daughters, Joyce Morton (Ellsworth) of Sanbornton and Jean Jorgensen of Concord; and son, Richard Brown of Venice, Fla. Grandchildren, Rebecca Kibbee, Raymond DeVone, Abigail Henry, Andrea Werner, Sarah Brown and Lauren Brown; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Merle was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Puffinburger, Mark Puffinburger and Richard Puffinburger; and sisters, Ruth Klauer, Elinor Mitchell, Gloria Furlong, Violet Calley and Gloria Yeo.
Services were held in Venice, Fla.
