Darla McClaugherty Obituary

Mrs. Darla Jayne McClaugherty, 73, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Conroe, Texas where she was from, born on April 15, 1939. She devoted her life to her family and to serving Jesus; giving selflessly to those in need at her Church and other Ministries. Darla was an artist; many of her paintings are cherished by friends and family. She loved the beach, fishing, and spending time with her sweet dog, "Sweetie". Darla was a fighter. She made many friends, even though battling many illnesses. Darla truly enriched the lives of all that knew her. When told the reality of this last battle, in true Darla fashion, she excitedly smiled at the thought of going Home and responded "FINALLY!". Darla is survived by her loving children: daughter Sheri and son Terry, six grandchildren: Kameron, Holden, Aaron, Colby, Bryce and Amber, numerous nieces/nephews, and many relatives and friends from Churches in Houston and Conroe, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Clifford McClaugherty. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2013 at West Conroe Baptist Church in Conroe, TX. Private internment to be held at Houston National Cemetery.

Mom, I Love You, and will miss you dearly. I am comforted by knowing that you are at peace, no more pain, no more suffering, and in Heaven with the Lord! Give Dad and Granny Roe a big hug and kiss for me and I'll see you when it's my time to go. RIP - much love
