Charles Tilman "Timmy" McClaugherty, 72, of Herndon passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at his residence.
Born January 19, 1953 in Colorado Springs, Colorado he was the son of the late Gordon and Betty Jo Brown McClaugherty.
Charles retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education as a custodian, he was a loyal and faithful member of the Herndon Freewill Baptist Church, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Monk McClaugherty; and son, Chesley B. McClaugherty.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving daughter, Violet Jo McClaugherty; granddaughter, Neaveh McClaugherty; sister, Mary "Kathy" Campbell (Hoppy Campbell); and brothers, Stephen "Steve" McClaugherty (Cynthia) and Robert "Bobby" McClaugherty (Margaret); and several brother-in-laws.
In keeping with his wishes Charles will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Herndon Freewill Baptist Church in Herndon with Rev. Richard Massie officiating.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations of sympathy be made to the Herndon Freewill Baptist church P.O. Box 704 Mullens WV, 25882.
