James Taylor Obituary
Jim is survived by his wife Terri Taylor; children Sarah Hopkins, husband Scott and children Selah and Micah; Sam Taylor, wife Jordan, daughter Grace; and John Taylor; his brother Paul Taylor, wife Becky; mother-in-law Jo Walters; sister-in-law Kim Bennett, husband Dan; brother-in-law Mark Walters, wife Megan; seven nieces and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Anita Taylor; father-in-law Bobby Walters
Jim was born on September 23, 1954 in Pasadena, TX to William and Anita Taylor. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1972, and went on to receive his Master's of Business Administration from Houston Baptist University. He spent over 20 years working in higher education. After leaving and trying his hand at retirement, Jim found a second calling in real estate.
Jim had been a member of West Conroe Baptist Church since 1997. He was an active member in his life group, Cornerstone. He had a passion for spreading the gospel and a bold approach for asking others if they knew Jesus. He was totally unashamed of his Savior.
A come-and-go celebration of life fellowship will be held April 22nd from 4:00-6:00pm at West Conroe Baptist Chapel. There will be an out of town private burial service for family officiated by his pastor Dr. Jay Gross. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the West Conroe Baptist Church, Missions Ministry at 1855 Longmire Road, Conroe, TX 77304, 936-760-1911.
