Richard A. "Rick" Turney, Sr., 68, of Winnie, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 21, 2021, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. He was born on January 25, 1953, to Marian Hall Turney and Henry Turney, in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Belinda Turney; daughter, Alanna Turney May and her husband, Tim, of Missouri; son, Richard Alan Turney, Jr. and his wife, Loralea of Cypress; daughter, Kara Turney of Dallas; sons, Eric Tewes of Willis and Chris Tewes of Dallas; daughter, Aimee Tewes of Kingwood; son, Steve Miles and his wife, Roxie, of Austin; daughters, Lindsey Matkin and her husband, Cade, of Winnie and Melanie Hendrix of Houston; mother, Marian Turney of Porter; brother, Jerry Turney and his wife, Yvonne of Cypress; sisters, Phyllis Hancock of Porter and Cindy Ramsey and her husband, Scott, of Austin; grandchildren, Landon Harmon, Logan Harmon, Victoria Harmon, Braelynn Hoskins, Brynnleigh Hoskins, Beck May, Cody Broom, Hayden Broom, Hannah Turney, Bryant Matkin, and Bailee Matkin.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Turney; sister, Cathy Burkett; and brother-in-law, Danny Hancock.

A gathering of Mr. Turney's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021, at Broussard's, with his interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
